The initial news from Patrick Friolet was confirmed by the Montreal Impact as Bakary Soumare has asked to be traded. Citing lack of playing time, Soumare joined the Impact during the 2014-2015 off-season to join his ex-Chicago Fire coach, Frank Klopas.
After being a starter during the CONCACAF Champions League and at the start of the MLS season, Soumare has seen more of the bench: He has only appeared twice during the club's last 8 games. With a plethora of defenders available to the staff , Soumare's playing time took a hit.
The rise of Victor Cabrera and the quality of Wandrille Lefevre would explain Soumare going down the pecking order.
During today's practice, Technical Director Adam Braz has confirmed that he is already in contact with other MLS clubs to find a solution for both the club and the player.
Insatisfait de son temps de jeu, Soumare à demandé un échange. Braz à contacté ses homologues. #IMFC
