Positive, is the great Oliver Renard has maintained the three man system with bombing fullbacks that we have as that is Losada’s system. With that, staying and adding some more press we can expect some energy drink soccer akin to RB Leipzig in Germany.
Negative, he can be a domineering presence as his time at DC United showed. From perhaps excessive conditioning to strict diet/weigh ins, we could have a problem depending on how has changed or has not.
Fret not, I’d expect some real change as he needs to or else this won’t be successful.
Moving in, we had the MLS Draft! Perhaps not as important as before, it is still a great idea to build depth. CFM added three players: defender Milo Garvanian (University of North Carolina) with the 25th pick of the second round (54th overall), defender Ousman Jabang (Mercer University) with the 17th pick of the third round (75th overall), and goalkeeper Nick Christoffersen (University of Pennsylvania) with the 25th pick of the third round (83rd overall).
All great depth that can add some presence and fill out the roster.
