CF Montréal Need an Impact Signing Before the New Season Kicks Off

There has to be an intent to contend.

CF Montréal need to make their best efforts to follow up a historic MLS season with an impact signing. Given the flood of cash they have recieved for departed players, the signings that they released and the TAM/GAM money they have accumulated needs to be for something.

Reaching for the stars is difficult and I understand that but this ownership group needs to show ambition and really prove to fans they will make sacrifices monetarily so that they will compete and make sure last season was not a fluke.

As a recent signing, George Campbell is perfect signing as he can start and if we expect a Kamal Miller departure was needed. A young player who can be developed by a good coach who they are yet to name.

On the impact signing there are many options available. A dream option of course is Andre-Pierre Gignac, the French superstar currently plying his trade in Mexico for Tigres.

Other options include to a lesser extent, Giorgian de Arrascaeta, Josef Martinez, Luis Chavez, and Angelo Preciado.

We’ll see how they approach this off season.
