What started as a therapy day for Bakary Soumare transformed itself into a report that the Malian international and MLS veteran is set to leave the Montreal Impact. During Tuesday's practice, the player was not present at practice and not made available to the media.
Having only played in 2 games during a 8-game span, Soumare was not a regularstarter anymore alongside Laurent Ciman as the coaching staff has used different central defenders to play alongside the Belgian international. As Wandrille Lefevre has his share of games played in MLS, Victor Cabrera seems to have taken over after a couple of convincing performances.
At this point, neither the club nor the player have emitted any comments on the report by Patrick Friolet of RDS that a divorce is imminent between the player and the club.
