CF Montréal earn a great win down in DC, 2-1 vs DC United

Big win! Top 3 again!

MLS: CF Montreal at D.C. United Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

A huge result away and one of the more concrete wins this season. A domination on the field as MTL really played well and was a justified winner.

Wilfried Nancy’s team continues to prove his coach of the year charge is merited as the club played real well and the full return of Djordje Mihailovic was a real nice sight to see!

This sends MTL top three of the Eastern Conference and hosting a playoff game for now. A real good game and the win becomes very important.

3 observations

  • Quioto played great as the club look much better with Miha on the field.
  • Wanyama and Kone in midfield played exceptional as bth looked composed and comfortable next to each other.
  • Alistair Johnston was his usual excellent self as the defense showed up for the most part. Pantemis alos had some great saves as he looks to make the #1 spot his.
