CF Montréal have their first move of the off season as it is expected that Alistair Johnston will join Celtic FC in Scotland after the transfer window opens on January 1st.

The deal as confirmed by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano will be reportedly in the 3-4 Million Euros range. A solid deal for the club amid a huge development for the club and re-shuffle at the player ranks.

Johnston has had a magical two seasons for CFM as the player has really shown his worth as one of the best full backs in all of MLS.

That has led to his mergence with the Canadian National Team and a spot on the team that won their trip to the Wold Cup in Qatar.

At the World Cup he was one of the few key players who performed solidly to well in all three games.

Now he is rewarded with a pay bump and the chance to play for a historic club in Scotland and possibly in the Champions League.

Thank you and best of luck, Alistair!
