Swiss international midfielder, Blerim Džemaili, has been rumoured to leave Turkish giant Galatasaray to come back to Serie A. Reports from Italy are linking the 30-year-old to both Bologna FC and the Montreal Impact.

According to Di Marzio, Dzemaili has agreed to join Bologna FC on a 4-year contract that is split between the Italian club and the Impact: 1 year with Bologna and 3 years with Montreal.

This is not the first time that a player name is mentioned for Joey Saputo’s 2 clubs. When the Bologna FC brass ( Joey Saputo invited Marco Di Vaio and Roberto Donadoni to la Belle Province) was visiting Montreal to observe the team, Ontivero seem to trigger the Serie A club’s interest.

If you add to that the potential return of Hernan Bernardello, the Impact is definitely gearing up to be active during the transfer market. With the strength of the Joey Saputo football conglomerate, both cities will definitely try to thrive under the umbrella of a smart business man who happens to be in love with the beautiful game.

Funny enough that this potential modus operandi ( if the Dzmeaili deal goes through for both Bologna and Montreal) is not deemed to be a detriment to the functioning of an MLS club. We are far from the fear of the foreign rich big brother-uncle from Manchester that will overshadow the lonely and powerless New York City little brother-nephew.

The soccer-football culture in Montreal seems to be a bit more refined or at least more accepting of a member from a more extended but natural family.
