Report: Impact to face Toronto FC without Didier Drogba

It started as possibility ...

Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports

Unavailable for the game against the Vancouver Whitecaps for the Voyageurs Cup final, Didier Drogba was supposed to meet the team in Toronto to face Toronto FC at BMO field. Out due to a toe injury, Frank Klopas was advised by the medical team that it was best not to play the Ivorian striker on turf at BC Place.

But since, a few reports came out hinting at the fact the Drogba's injury would keep him out of the game. Kurt Larson hinted at reports that Drogba looked sluggish during practices while Tony Marinaro hearing that the King will not be playing in Toronto.

With the confirmed absence of Ignacio Piatti (calf contusion), going into BMO field without Didier Drogba is quite problematic for the Bleu-Blanc-Noir, a team that is going through a scoring drought and even worse a creativity drought.
