Kenny Cooper has just been wainved by the Seattle Sounders, making the US striker available to the rest of the league via Waiver. Sounders Garth Lagerwey is expected to talk to the local Seattle media later today.
As per the Montreal Impact, Frank Klopas confirmed to Pascal Milano of La Presse that the club is interested in getting Cooper , as he represents a good short-term solution to shore up a thin forward line.
Dave Lévesque of the Journal de Montréal confirms that Montreal has the 2nd spot overall in the Waiver draft, just behind the Philadelphia Union.

Update: Since the Montreal Impact already selected Nigel Reo-Coker in the waiver draft, during the off-season, the Bleu-Bleu-Blanc is probably not holding spot #2 in the waiver draft.
As a 30-year-old striker , Cooper is far from being done and has been a proven MLS goal-scorer. with 75 career goals, the tall forward can bring depth and experience to a team that needs help for a long MLS season.
