Houston Dynamo 1 - Montreal Impact 0 : Will Bruin scores off a Calen Carr pass

Update: Half-time changes for the Montreal Impact --> Lamar Neagle comes on for Alessandro Nesta. Davy Arnaud goes lower as a right back and Neagle takes his right midfield spot.

The first 30 minutes or so were pretty even between the Houston Dynamo and the Montreal Impact. The slow tempo helped the Impact in their game and had some decent chances to counter attack. But the Orange Crush machine went into gear with a very in-form and active Oscar Boniek Garcia.

15th minute

Sanna Nyassi went on a breakaway but a bad control as he was going into the box did not permit him to shoot properly. His initial missed shot was blocked by Tally Hall and in the aftermath, Nyassi's second shot was blocked by a Dynamo defender. Missed chances that will and has cost the Impact precious momentum and points.

19th minute

A Dynamo header, courtesy of Macoumba Kandji, off a free kick was punched out by Troy Perkins for a corner kick. Another symptom of free kick marking for the Impact.

Will Bruin scores off a Calen Carr pass after a nice play by Corey Ashe on the left side.

Quick Points by Line

Goalkeeper: Nothing to declare with a good save on Kandji.

Defence: Nesta - Ferrari are being outmuscled too easily to anyone's taste with Nesta showing his heavy legs on Calen Carr's pass to Bruin for the goal. Camara is athletic but does not always go back to position in time and Brovsky is solid.

Midfield: Bernier and Mallace are not totally in sync but the Marquette Rookie has shown good initiative. Nyassi and Arnaud have worked hard on the side but not enough quick plays to accelerate the play. Felipe is obviously but hardship is nothing new to Montreal.

Forwards: Wenger and Di Vaio are still looking for each other with Di Vaio covering a lot of ground in his pressing and coverage.
