As they return to the field on Thursday, this was a crucial step in negotiations and with many questions still unanswered, this was the next logical step forward.
Could we see a deal by the end of the summer? The last reports had them close in percentages of prize money, but a key piece of talks was extras similar to those seen with the USA Soccer’s agreement last month.
Those include paid childcare, extra and complete ticket packages for players families at major events, (World Cup, Olympics) and more.
We’ll see how this develops as the Federation and players need to be motivated to land a deal here soon.
