A bad, bad night.

Not great! A horrendous result in the cup and with the heavy rotation, the team failed to show up.

Wilfried Nancy’s team failed to represent and this felt like a soul searching loss. Whether a formation change, new starters or more drilling, something has to be modified.

A loss that sees the club lose the easiest way to enter the Champions League. Now, league play is paramount. We’ll see if they can get it done.

MTL let go of their best chance to win hardware and now will look for this to motivate them ahead of the crux of the season.

3 observations

  • Rotation killed team, no service or creativity up front. A disaster with Toronto putting out lot more regular starters.
  • Front three was just bad. Quioto could not do anything, the two under him failed to create and it was just a really off night for the boys.
  • A very bad performance from Bassong. It was evident he did not seem ready for this. Pantemis was also poor and the scoreline reflected it.
