CF Montréal Ranked 8th in ‘Watchability Rankings’ -report

A fair list.

MLS: FC Cincinnati at CF Montreal David Kirouac-USA TODAY Sports

The British newspaper ‘The Guardian’ released its new ‘watchability rankings’ as they attempted to determine who is the best watch in MLS. (Full list)

CF Montréal landed pretty solidly in at 8th, but could have been higher. First, let’s see their defense for placing CFM where they did:

The artists formerly known as the Montreal Impact play an uptempo 3-4-2-1 with Djordje Mihailovic thriving in the half-space in attack. Mix in some excellent Victor Wanyama play here, rising teenage Canadian international Ismael Kone there, and it’s a smooth blend.

A fair placing, but in my mind they should be top five. They are clearly ahead of Austin and Seattle at current form, MTL is much better in terms of play and just entertaining soccer here.

Then, they should 100% be ahead of Cincinnati who they have beat twice and play much better than. Both in terms of fluidity and just overall fun style.

Wilfried Nancy has the team flying and with creatives like Djordje Mihailovic, Joaquin Torres, Romell Quioto and solid Canadians and defenders, this team is boat loads of fun.

Let us know your take, where does CFM belong on this list?
