A Comprehensive Look at Montreal’s Last Three Matches

We move on as the club is second in the east!

MLS: Houston Dynamo at CF Montreal Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports

CF Montreal is on a roll and despite a recent loss still has a solid record as they are tied for second in the Eastern Conference.

Let’s start back on the 7th of May as we get this summary underway!

1 Montréal 4 - 1 Orlando at Stade Saputo - Final 05/07/22

Goals: MTL - J. Waterman (21’), D. Mihailovic (52’), J. Torres (81’), Z. Brault-Guillard (84’)

ORL - J. Bragança Moutinho (72’)

What a win as the core players of the club continue to impress, both Torres and Miha played exceptionally well. The club took down a successful team who in its own right is level with Montreal on points as of today. One more note was the three man back continuing to be strong.

Match Highlights

2 Montréal 2 - 0 Charlotte at BofA Stadium (Charlotte) - Final 05/14/22

Goals: MTL - D. Mihailovic (45’),A. Johnston (67’)

CLT - Zero

Another win and strong performance from the star players. Starting with Miha who not only scored again, but played to an 7.9 rating on FotMob, one of his best to date. Add great support by Johnston in both scoring and defending and we have a pretty balanced team who can contend this season! Choiniere and Wanyama also continue their strong seasons.

Match Highlights

3 Montréal 1 - 2 Nashville at GEODIS Park (Nashville) - Final 05/18/22

Goals: MTL - K. Kamara 55’

NSH - A. Muyl 28’, H. Mukhtar 51’

The first loss in over two months happened. It was to a strong Nashville side who despite being sixth in the West, is more than capable of making a run this season. On the positives was Camacho being strong and mostly performing well as did Kamara who scored and gave Romell Quioto a break.

Now we look forward to Sunday’s clash with Real Salt Lake as the club look to improve to top place in the East.
