A goal from Lucas Ontivero and converted penalty kick from Ignacio Piatti were no match to Dominic Dwyer's brace. The striker has been on fire against the Impact since the club joined MLS.

The Impact's initial goal was from a nice play from the team that started from a Drogba cross to Hassoun Camara who sends himself an immediate cross in the box. Ontivero,  who has been more involved scoring wise,  heads the ball for the 1-0 lead.

Dom Dwyer and Sporting KC respond in kind with aaheader to tie the game from a Roger Espinoza cross. The central dense could probably have been more aware of Dwyer's run but he is one of the best Strikers in MLS.

Five minutes before the end of the first half, Didier Drogba finds his way into the box and is tripped in the box by Jimmy Medranda. An unfortunate foul at best but the referee did not hesitate to call for a penalty kick. It is converted by Piatti for the 2-1 lead.

Later in the second half, Dwyer would tie the game for the second time off a counter, catching the Impact's defines sleeping in a way. At least, it left too much space for Dwyer to setup his shot and clinically score from just outside the box. Wandrille Lefevre was directly involved in both goals scored by Dwyer.
