Montreal Impact to participate in the Tampa Bay Rowdies Suncoast Invitational

There were no initial plans or news that the Montreal Impact would play in an official pre-season tournament. As the club flew to Orlando for the first half of its Floridean pre-season camp, it was just announced that the Impact would participate in the Tampa Bay Rowdies Suncoast Invitational.

Along 5 other MLS teams and the Rowdie, Montreal will play a total of 4 games including one against the host. The invitational is a brand-new preseason tournament and will be held between February 17th and 27th. This is the tournament during which you might have a chance to see Didier Drogba play his first-ever MLS/NASL pre-season tournament.

The Tampa Bay Rowdies will also host the Bleu-Blanc-Noir during their second pre-season stay in Florida

The MLS clubs are  New York City FC, D.C. United, Montreal Impact, New York Red Bulls and Toronto FC.

We're happy to join this preseason invitational, which will be a good preparation for the group prior to the MLS regular season. We'll have the opportunity to face other MLS teams in first class infrastructures. We wish to thank the Rowdies organization and their staff for hosting our team for two weeks.

Saturday, February 27 - Al Lang Stadium

Philadelphia Union vs Toronto FC, 4 p.m.
Tampa Bay Rowdies vs Montreal Impact, 7:00 p.m.
