Dennis Iapichino is on his way out of the Montreal Impact roster and it is not surprising. The Swiss left back was told by sporting director Nick De Santis that he is no longer part of the club's plans, right before practice on Tuesday. His last game as an Impact was the 3-1 loss to D.C. united on the weekend, a not so memorable game for either the player or the club.
An earlier tweet by Tony Marinaro of TSN690 started the ball rolling on the Impact rumour mill. The radio personality has been spot on a few impact rumours and this one was also.

Philippe Germain contacted the club to get more details and was told by the club that options are being looked as per Iapichino's situation.
Réponse officielle de #IMFC dans le cas Iapichino : "Il ne s'entraîne pas avec l'équipe. On étudie des options dans son cas". #MLS #CCL

At this point, no official release has been given yet as the Montreal Impact must still be looking at different options. Please take into account that MLS contracts are guaranteed and a club cannot release a player just like that.
Dennis Iapichino joined the club in July 2012 but has only played a total of 16 MLS games. His salary had a theoretical hit of 110,000$ on the Impact's cap space. Add that to his lacklustre performances, Iapichino logically became the odd man out. In the same time, the Montreal could also free up an international spot if either a release or trade can happen.
