Got Questions? I've got Answers by Regge : Blake Smith Super Sub, Adrian Lopez and Looking for Di Vaio

Reginald Joseph delivers his first paper for Mount Royal Soccer with a new recurring piece '' Got Questions? I've got Answers by Regge ''

Jean-Yves Ahern-USA TODAY Sports

Find my latest thoughts on the latest Montreal Impact and news around the club. I ask myself questions and will also answer them. Don't be worried about my mental health as I ponder on the Impact's wins, losses, draws, tactics, rumors and more.

Should Blake Smith finally start a game?

Wow!!! Yet another great performance from the kid of El Paso Texas. He got in at the 80th minute, had a great shot that was brilliantly stopped by Jimmy Nielsen at the 90th + 3.

And at the 90th + 6, he finished a nice played started by Camara by nuttmegging the bad guy of Die Hard, Nielsen. And obviously we had the trademark celebration.

If Shallibaum starts him, will he lose all the energy, all the enthusiasm that he brings every time he gets on the pitch? In my opinion, he would take Sanna Nyassi's place as Justin Mapp is way too valuable to the Impact to be on the bench.

Smith can match Nyassi's pace and takes better decisions when he has the ball.

Conclusion: He will still be a super sub for a few games until someone gets injured.

When Senor Adrian Lopez Rodriguez will be good to play, who will be dropped to the bench?

The Impact acquired exactly what they needed: a center back who has an experience in Europe ( Wigan - Deportivo de La Coruna). Most importantly, he is not too lod and seems athletic for that tough MLS league.

The problem is who will be dropped?

We all know how slow Alessandro Nesta is but he has experience and is helping the younger lads. But it takes guts to bench a player with nearly 600 games in Serie A and 78 Caps with la Squaddra.

Matteo Ferrari has been very disappointing lately. Takes useless risk and is far from the athletic center back that he was last year.

Conclusion: Brovsky will stay on the left, Camara on the right and it will be Lopez and Nesta as CB.

What's going on Marco?

When Di Viao doesn't score, the Montreal Impact don't win, usually. Do we rely too much on Di Vaio ?

After his hat trick against the Philadelphia Union, in the last 10 games, Di Vaio has only scored twice and the Impact record is pretty poor during that stretch : 3 wins, 4 ties and 3 losses with 14 goals for and 17 against.

He looks tired and his body language is showing that he's starting to be annoyed by the situation. Thanks to the assist on the game winning goal of Smith, he's still a huge part of the Impact offensive threats.

Conclusion: The little all-star break, hanging out with his buddies of AS Roma will give him a boost and he will score against DC United.
