Montreal Impact sign spanish central defender in Adrian Lopez Rodriguez

Piscu ,as he is known as, has just joined the ranks of the Montreal Impact. The 26-year old Spanish central defender has played in the English Premier League with Wigan Athletic and Deportivo de La Coruna in La Liga. The young central defender will definitely add a lot of depth for the Impact but also seems to be a long-term signing for the club.

Being an international player , as per roster MLS rules, Piscu would need to fill an international spot on the Montreal Impact roster. Nelson Rivas has been placed on the injured reserve to make place for Lopez.

We are very excited to have acquired Adrian, who played in top leagues like England and Spain, López is at a very good age and is very motivated to join the club. He will be an important part of our defensive line now, but also for the future.

We have a good group so it was not an easy decision to add players but the personalities of López and Bernardello give us that chance as they will both fit in well."
