Major League Soccer has just released the complete schedule for the 2014 season, including the Montreal Impact's. With all the talk around a winter schedule sooner than later, MLS keeps its March to October MLS Regular season schedule. First Kick for the Montreal Impact has Les Bleus playing their first MLS game in 2014 , in Dallas , against FC Dallas.
Starting the season with a distinct " Wild Wild West " theme, the Impact will face its arch-enemy, the Houston Dynamo a week later ,on March 15th 2014. The Impact has not won a game at either Dallas or at Houston but there is hope as Montreal started the 2013 with a bang, when it beat the Seattle Sounders and the Portland Timbers.
Talking of Cascadia, the Impact will play its first home against the Sounders at the Stade Olympique on March 22nd. As much as it saddens me to remind you but Marco Di Vaio will not be playing in any of the first three MLS games for the Impact.
The Italian Designated Player will be serving a 3-game match suspension, after his red card against the Houston Dynamo during the MLS playoffs.
MLS will also take a two-week break between June 12-24, during the 2014 World Cup as a few MLS players are expected to participate with their respective national teams, in Brazil.
