Ned Dishman

Hakan Ilhan, Striker

MLS SuperDraft Scouting Report

Sophisticated striker who was brought up in German club system.

What Scouts Say: "Very talented player and very smart ... Very good in the air as well ... Class in front of goal with his head and feet. Polished player due to past in Germany ... Mentally sharp ... He's a one-pace kind of player, but able to find space in the box ... Can hit the final pass or go it himself ... Finishes very well in front of goal. Finds the frame with every shot ... Floats around and is a very good finisher ... Not a guy that's going to stretch defenses. Doesn't run by anybody. When pace is quicker in MLS, how can he cope? ... A guy you can play into, but can't make ball stick ... Hakan's movements are clever and sophisticated. Anticipates well and can make the next pass ... Lack of athleticism and speed is a question. Does he have enough work rate for MLS? ... How will MLS teams react to the fact that he's 25 and occupies an international spot? But pedigree and age may make him more attractive ... Further along than a lot of college players in his tactical awareness ... He can't lead the forward line on his own, but could even transition to attacking midfielder in MLS."

College (UNC-Greensboro): Scored 29 goals and registered 19 assists in 58 games over three seasons at UNCG. Led his team in scoring in each of this three years and earned first-team All-Southern Conference selections after every season.

Club: Played with FV Offenburger, where he won a championship, and Stuttgart Kickers in Germany. Played for the Carolina Dynamo in the PDL during the summer of 2010.

High School/University: Attended Wirthschafts Gymnasium near Lahr for his secondary schooling. Attended Stuttgart University for one year.

Personal: Son of Metin and Muczeygeu ... Majored in international business at UNCG. Started MBA program at UNCG.

Jordan Leblanc, Midfielder

MLS SuperDraft Scouting Report

What Scouts Say: "The best. Very intelligent on ball. Hard, quick, goes past people, offensive midfielder ... Can unlock defenses ... Definitely a difference-maker ... He was biggest impact player ... very, very good on the ball ... Quite the work rate ... The guy is all over the place ... Offensive and defensive, a two-way player and very good ... One of the more complete players coming out of college as a midfielder this year."

Luciano Delbono, Midfielder

MLS SuperDraft Scouting Report

Athletic player who's primarily been in the central midfield, and has yet to show what his permanent home on the pitch will be.
What Scouts Say: "Potential to make it… physically gifted, stop and start speed is great, can catch anyone with pace… I think Delbono should be a draft pick somewhere whether supplemental or superdraft and might do well ... they are grounded in fundamentals of the game at Wake ... Athletically he's going to have to play outside somewhere ... He's not ready to play centrally and that's the problem ... Don't know if he's quick enough to play outside ... Not strong enough physlcally to play centrally .... Good engine ... he won't play No. 10 for anyone at that age but he can do a lot of things ... Played this year as a No. 6 for them but woudl surge forward at the right time ... can take off with the ball ... Good power and tehcnique ... could see him as a right back."
2011: Started all three of the Deacs' postseason matches and made NCAA Tournament debut at South Carolina (11.17)...
2010: Played in every game and made seven starts, finishing the year with one assist.
2009: Played in four games during rookie season.
High School/Club: Lettered and started all four years on varsity soccer team at R.J. Reynolds High School ... Member of the North Carolina State Olympic Development Program team ... ODP team won regionals and finished third in nationals.
