Thierry Henry has restored Rod Fanni to the centre of the Impact defence. It’s the Frenchman’s first start since the MLS-is-Back tournament in Florida.

The Impact revert to a more familiar flat back four, with young Karifa Yao reverting to the bench. Jorge Corrales is left out and captain Jukka Raitala reverts to his more conventional left back role.

The midfield has a familiar look with Lappalainen starting in place of the injured Okwonkwo, although it remains to be seen how Bojan and Urruti, the most obvious candidates to spearhead the attack, are deployed.

Urruti scored the winner the last time these two teams met at Red Bull Arena over a year ago.

It’s all change up front for the Red Bulls with Tom Barlow brought in and will probably operate as lone striker. They had begun the 4-1 win at Inter-Miami with Jorgensen and White leading the attack, but neither start this evening.

Cristian Casseres comes back to the starting line-up replacing Omir Fernandez, and in central defence Sean Nelis is preferred to Aaron Long.
