Lens won their first home match back in Ligue Un against a PSG side lacking several players including Kylian Mbappe (injured).

Former Impact defender Zakaria Diallo of course helped Lens to promotion last season, but did not feature in the match squad tonight.

Lens won 1-0 in front of the permitted 5,000 fans at Stade Bollaert-Belilis.

The match was in doubt after CL finalists PSG had seven players, including Mbappe test positive for coronavirus. However the game went ahead.

And Lens took full advantage on their return to the top flight as Ignatius Ganago punished goalkeeper Marcin Bulka’s error to net the winning goal.

Brazil forward Neymar, compatriot Marquinhos and Argentina internationals Angel di Maria and Mauro Icardi were all missing for the visitors.

Champions PSG have another stiff test against Marseille in the league on Sunday (15:00 EST) and must wait to see if any of the missing players will be available for selection.
