The only thing the Impact do not want tonight is for Atlanta United to win by a margin of two or more goals.
A draw will do for the Montrealers too, and of course so will a Crew victory, or a narrow one-goal success for the Five Stripes so long as they score less than four times...
Forget about Columbus, they are out of the equation for the time being as far as the Impact is concerned.
Atlanta, like the Impact has a -2 goal difference, however have yet to score in the tournament, while Montreal have three goals to their credit.
This means any other result other than a 2-goal or better winning margin, or a high scoring (4-3 or higher) one goal margin success for Atlanta, will spell good news for the Impact.
Should the Impact then defeat DC United in the later game tonight, even by the slenderest of margins, it would still give the Montreal men a better three-game record than Atlanta United.
