Bojan Krkic during today’s videoconference in Montreal, was asked to comment on the milestone Lionel Messi, his former team-mate reached in Barcelona’s 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid last evening.
The Argentine legend scored his 700th career goal, the seventh player in history to reach the mark.
“Yes, of course I saw the game yesterday, as I do every game that Barcelona is playing.
“It is unbelievable what he is achieving. Every game he achieves something new, you know. Unbelievable! The way he maintains his level, in the last how many years? More than ten...
“For sure he is one of the best players I have played with and of course I have very good memories when I shared the pitch with him.”

Bojan was a team-mate of Messi’s in the Barcelona first-team between 2007-11, before being sold to AS Roma €12 million.
His early promise at Camp Nou saw him make his first-team debut at the age of 17 years and 19 days in September 2007, breaking the La Liga record for a Barcelona player previously set by Messi himself. In the game, against Osasuna, Bojan replaced former LA Galaxy man, Giovani dos Santos with 12 minutes left on the clock.
In that debut season, Bojan recorded 12 goals in 48 appearances.
