Montreal Impact 2019 MVP, Orji Okwonkwo has been giving his thoughts on the up-coming Florida tournament as he prepares to fly south with his team-mates on Thursday.

“I’m not going to lie. This won’t be easy. We’ve been out for three months because of the virus, so the challenge ahead will be tough.

“We’re trying to come back as soon as possible and make a difference.”

Okwonkwo, 8 goals in 24 MLS starts last season is looking forward particularly to the clash with bitter rivals, Toronto FC. Tight now the team are training very hard to be competitive and to face the challenge in Florida.

“The level is progressing. Kudos to the players and the coach as well. All teams will be coming out strong. We must do what we do best and come out strong too.”
