Argentine ace hits milestone with Panenka penalty...

Leo Messi has just become the seventh player in history to reach the milestone of 700 first-class career goals, dinking a Panenka penalty past Atleti’s Jan Oblak at the Nou Camp during this evening’s La Liga clash.

Unofficially Pele and Josef Became each have over 1,000 goals, but not recognized by official records.

The penalty was questionable award involving by Nelson Semedo. Messi converted in the 50th minute putting his side 2-1 in front.

Barcelona had earlier led through Diego Costa’s 11 minute OG, before Saul Niguez equalized form the penalty spot for Atleti.

Niguez later converted a second penalty in the 62nd minute to draw the teams level.

It’s still 2-2 with 20 mins left. Barca desperately need the win to maintain the LaLiga title challenge.
