Algerian international Saphir Taider took away the honours from Group H this evening after edging popular Italian Marco Donadel into second place.

Both men of course will advance to the round of 16 at the expense of Felipe and Zakaria Diallo, who recently won promotion to Ligue Un with RC Lens.

It was a tight one with Taider always just a nose in front, eventually running out the victor with a 40% share of the vote as compared to Donadel’s 34%, the highest for a group runner-up..

Third place went to former midfielder Felipe Martins who polled a respectable 19%, with Zakaria Diallo bringing up the rear on 7%.

Taider now meets Ambroise Oyongo in an all African round of 16 match-up, while Donadel faces Group A winner Evan Bush in a tie which will be contested between the group winner with the lowest percentage share of votes and the group runner-up with the highest.

The full round of 16 line-up is as follows...

Evan Bush v Marco Donadel
Bojan Krkic v Davy Arnaud
Patrice Bernier v Blerim Dzemaili
Didier Drogba v Andres Romero
