Yesterday’s two quarter-final match-ups in the quest to discover Montreal Impact’s Greatest-ever MLS-player didn’t throw up much in the way of twists and turns yesterday. In fact both contests went very much as expected.

Patrice Bernier came out on top in The Clash of The Captains with a mammoth 87% of the vote over Davy Arnaud.

Patrice is likely to face another huge personality in the semi-final, with Didier Drogba expected to overcome Evan Bush in today’s quarter-final (If you haven’t yet voted IMFC Fans, now would be a good time).

Nacho Piatti was always a strong favourite over Marco Di Vaio, although Di Vaio’s showing was still comparatively strong gaining a 20% share of the vote.

Piatti (80% vote share) will face the winner of today’s other quarter-final between Hassoun Camara and Ambroise Oyongo.
