Neymar may start the season a PSG player, but it’s looking less likely that he’ll be seen in the colours of the club again.
French magazine L-Equipe, assures the Brazilian’s camp is determined to get their move, while another player close to the Brazilian has said there is no possibility that Neymar will remain with the French champions.
The Spanish press in recent days had alluded to a lowering of the asking price for the player, believed to be 180million euros, however both L-Equipe and Le Parisien newspaper tonight confirmed that PSG has set the amount to 300million euros, the original figure.
PSG for their part confirms there has been no concrete offer from Barca, however this morning Sport reported a first official proposal was underway.
L’Equipe reports the Catalans are still considering ‘all assumptions’, including that of a loan with purchase obligation, to bring the player back to the Nou Camp.
It’s clear that all parties want the business concluded before the season begins. For PSG their curtain-raiser is on Saturday with the Trophee des Champions, preceding Ligue Un activity which gets under way the following weekend.
There seems an inevitability in regard to what will happen, that Blaugrana will eventually get their man, but with the two sides so far apart and the player caught in the middle, you wonder if the process can reach a fast enough conclusion for the resumption of league play in each of the countries concerned.
