The transfer window looks a lot different for the Impact than it did a few weeks ago. Now sitting in the final playoff spot of the East they should be looking to get some pieces to refine their lineup.
Due to an enormous amount injuries to their center backs at the beginning of the season, the Impact acquired a few players to fill the roles. Now they have Victor Cabrera, Kyle Fisher (who is close to returning), Rod Fanni (who just signed an extension), Zakaria Diallo (who started running), Rudy Camacho (who has missed a few training sessions), and Jukka Raitala who has played in the position as a default this season.

While depth is great this may be an exaggeration and the Impact should be looking to acquire a more threatening forward. Mancosu and Jackson have too often been forgotten on the pitch this season. Either it be dealing a player like Cabrera to another MLS club liberating an international roster spot or transferring Mancosu to one of the rumored Italian clubs who showed interest in him earlier this season.

It would not be surprising to see the Impact make little to no moves during the transfer window given their resent resurgence. This would most likely be seen as a disappointment by many fans around the club because their hope is for the team to continue improving. Having players like Silva and Taider step up in recent games is promising but their lack of a dominating forward is worrisome down the stretch.
