The Impact recorded their 11th loss of the season on Saturday on the road against Dallas. The game ended 2-0 and while Dallas may have gotten the better of the Impact on the scoreboard it wasn’t without the help of a very controversial call early on. In the 5th minute a very odd goal was scored but was called offside. The referee then spoke to the video assisted referee and Nima Saghafi, the referee, overturned his decision without reviewing the play for himself.
Where disappointment and possible anger may arrise is the reports that came out of the club this morning. Nicolas A Martineau of TVA Sports reported that the Impact was told that there was an error on the first goal scored by Dallas.
For my english followers.

After the game, #MLS told #IMFC that the offside call was the right call.
VAR suggested to the ref that the goal was good and the latter decided to change the original call. https://t.co/ebeN564uVL
The mistake by the referee group in the fifth minute had an impact on the game as it led Dallas to an early lead. Furthermore, it created unnecessary frustration for the Bleu-Blanc-Noir. The outcome of the game may have been exactly the same but that is something that will never be known.
Player Insight:
Rudy Camacho was introduced back into the lineup Saturday after missing a few games due to injury. While Camacho had a hand in both goals leading fans to be disappointed with his performance Camacho showed many good aspects of his game. He has the ability to project the game forward and is able to do so adequately.

Furthermore, during Monday press conferences Rod Fanni shared that he has developed a good relationship with Camacho and like his playing style. While the future of Fanni with the club still remains undetermined it is nice to see the center-back pairing developing a relationship, as this is the root of a successful back line.
