This weekend was a special one for gamers as it was the eMLS Cup and the Impact was very well represented by Algerian born Lyes Ould-Ramoul. In a jam packed weekend of regular season games and playoffs, Lyes managed to reach the finals. He unfortunately was unable to beat the undefeated Houston Dynamo representative Memo Treviño.
In a two-leg match up we saw incredible skill from both players. The first match finished 2-2, with a late goal by Memo. The second leg, was again a hard fought battle but proved to be somewhat more difficult for Lyes as it finished 4-2 for Memo. Reaching the finals for Lyes was an achievement in itself as it gave him his spot in the eWorld Cup.
Congratulations @KidM3mito on your #eMLSCup championship!

See you at the @EASPORTSFIFA Global Series Playoffs in June! #IMFC | #ForeverOrange https://t.co/87p6hZbAmH
It was very surprising but extremely enjoyable to see Impact fans get into the games as much as they did and support Lyes in his journey to the finals. This type of event will only become bigger and bigger in the upcoming years but Impact fans were already very involved. From fans to even members from the organization everyone was captivated by the event and throwing challenges out to Lyes to a good old game of FIFA.
Always tough to lose a final but you've got to learn from it. Ill be more ready in June for the @FIFAeWorldCup playoffs ! Grand merci à l'@impactmontreal pour avoir cru en moi et à tous ceux qui m'ont soutenu !!! #IMFC #eMLSCup @PlayStation
