Uruguayan midfielder/defender Alejandro Silva could be making his way to Montreal. The midfielder/defender who usually plays on the right could come solidify the Impact lineup soon enough. Silva is good with the ball at his feet and if deployed as a midfielder his distribution could help forwards Mancosu and Jackson produce.

This move, if it is made by the Impact will be a costly one as Silva is currently playing for Club Atlético Lanús in Argentina and the last loan fee for the player in 2016 was of over one million dollars. His contract with the club is nowhere near its end (2020) but it would be a big move for the Impact. Silva being an important piece and starter for his club would make an immediate Impact in the lineup. He could allow the Impact to be a threat from both sides of the pitch.

While these negotiations remain in the very very early stages given that the demand for Silva are high and his team is getting prepared for the Copa Sudeamericana. It will be interesting to see if this rumour develops itself in the next few days/weeks or if it remains just that, a rumour.
