The starting XI voted by fans is in and some small changes are present It will be interesting to see how closely this prediction matches up with the one on the pitch tonight.
Subs: Diop, Petrasso, Raitala, Louis, Edwards, Krolicki, Jackson (Mancosu)
Given the minor injury to Michael Petrasso on international duty, it was not a surprise that Impact fans gave the nod to Chris Duvall. Duvall played in 27 games and started 25 last season for the Impact and while he was not a player that brought anything particular to the lineup he did his job day in and day out. Most Impact fans would not be against Duvall getting his opportunity to play and giving Petrasso the extra rest he needs to recover fully.
Jukka Raitala, who filled in for Zakaria Diallo at center back in the first few games, has been replaced by new arrival Rudy Camacho. In a very close toss up between the two, fans seem to have leaned more towards Camacho. Raitala did not do a poor job, some minor errors, but overall he did well although given that Camacho is a natural center back he may fill the role more easily.
Ken Krolicki, who was swapped out for new arrival Alejandro Silva is a very logical move. Silva was acquired to give a boost to the lineup and fill the lack of a definitive starter on the right side of the midfield. Krolicki has done well in his first few games as a rookie but he plays very safe and does not give the extra bonus that Silva offers.
