Movement again in the Impact roster and management today. The team announced today, January 31st, that Nick DePuy had been loaned to the Danish Club BK Fremad Amager. This loan is for 3 months with an option to renew until december. The 2017 first round draft pick (19th overall) of the Impact played 128 minutes in the MLS in five games with 1 start.
Fremad Amager are currently 10th in the Danish 1st division. This loan could help DePuy get more playing time and develop his abilities. Last season, DePuy did not get a lot playing time in Montreal and was loaned out to Ottawa but this did not increase his chances. This opportunity seems much more legitimate for him since he is not of MLS caliber just yet.
Not long after that announcement, the Impact announced a trade with Orlando that provide them with an extra international spot. The Impact traded away 100,000$ in General Allocation Money in order to acquire this spot. Given all the moves that have been made in the past few weeks by the Impact it is believed that this spot will be used quickly. More to come.
