The Montreal Impact will attempt to halt their 3 game winless streak against Minnesota United. Although their playoff chances are dwindling by the second, earning a victory is nonetheless imperative if they desire to cling to any hope for a playoff berth.

Mauro Biello's side is currently 5 points from a playoff spot. As the number of games grows shorter, it will only get more obstinate for the Impact to contend for a playoff spot. The time is now for Montreal to perform the unthinkable and go on a hot streak from now until the end of the season. The chances may seem slim, and a playoff berth is unimaginable. However, we can only hope that everything clicks. It all starts with a solid outing vs. the Minnesota United.

The Impact most certainly has to capitalize in their next match as the Minnesota United are currently diminishing into the abyss. As of today, the Minnesota United is the penultimate team in their respective conference. Montreal will also have to expose the United's absolute horrid defense in order to come on top. Minnesota has conceded 56 goals thus far into this campaign.

Despite the United's underwhelming season, forward, Christian Ramirez remained to be a bright spot for Minnesota, consistently scoring for his club. The American native has found the back of the net on 11 occasions in 23 games. Although Ramirez is currently enduring a scoring slump in which he has only scored a goal in 5 games, the Impact's defense will need to keep Ramirez in check. We should take note that Christian Ramirez has insanely scored a 1/3 of the Minnesota United's goals.

How Do The Impact Win?

Do you know what's something the Impact were unable to achieve there past two matches? Score. The Impact's offensive weapons will undoubtedly have to play above their limits to hopefully salvage a victory. Blerim Dzemaili, Ignacio Piatti, Anthony Jackson-Hamel, and co. will have to play to perfection attacking wise to get out of the team's current scoring slump.

A little defense and solid goaltending can go a long way to securing a victory. Goalkeeper, Evan Bush and Montreal's back-4 will need to remain solid for the full 90 minutes to put them in the best position possible to win.

This will be the 1st time in Montreal's history that they will faceoff against Minnesota United. Hopefully, it will be Montreal's 1st victory vs. Minnesota.
