Major League Soccer announced Tuesday that the 2017 MLS All-Star Game will be hosted by Chicago at Soldier Field.
This is the 2nd time the city of Chicago hosts an MLS All-Star Game but instead of it being played at Chicago Fire’s Toyota Park it will be played at Soldier Field. Soldier Field, with a capacity of 61,500, has played host to numerous soccer events, including World Cup matches.
The hopes of having the All-Star game in Montreal is now over but none the less there is still a chance of it being here in 2018. It seems like each year the All-Star game lacks in attendance so I don't see why the MLS chose to move it into a larger stadium, a place like Saputo Stadium would have been perfect for this event.
The team the MLS All-Stars will play is yet to be determined.
