After the Montreal Impact re-signed Eric Kronberg to a one-year deal the Impact also announced that homegrown talent, Maxime Crepeau would become the team’s 2nd goalkeeper behind Evan Bush.
With Maxime Crepeau playing amazing with team Canada and FC Montreal he pushed out veteran goalkeeper Eric Kronberg for the #2 spot, who only appeared in five MLS regular season games and six Amway Canadian Championship games.
Adam Braz commented on the signing of Eric Kronberg:
“We are pleased to have come to an agreement with Eric for the 2017 season,” said Impact technical director Adam Braz. “Eric has settled in nicely over the last two years and expressed his desire to remain with the club. He’s an experienced goalkeeper and a respected player in the locker room. He will push our first two goalkeepers, Evan and Maxime, to excel throughout the next season.” Read more.
Maxime is currently training with Belguim division one club KV Kortrijk. His offseason training is in good hands.
