Montreal Impact trade Romario Williams to Atlanta United in exchange for conditional draft pick

New opportunities for Romario Williams in Atlanta

MLS: SuperDraft Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

On Sunday morning the Montreal Impact announced that they have traded Romario Williams to Atlanta United FC in exchange for a 2018 conditional 3rd round draft pick. This trade was made in the 3 hour MLS trade window.

The Montreal Impact will automatically get a 3rd round 2018 MLS Super draft pick but if Romario Williams appears anywhere on Atlanta's roster during the 2017 season the 3rd round pick will become a 2nd round pick.

The Montreal Impact drafted Romario Williams in the 2015 MLS Super draft in the 3rd round. He was then loaned out to the Charleston Battery in the USL where he got 10 goals in 27 games. The Jamaican international only had two starts with the Montreal Impact in his rookie season.
