Montreal Impact lose 3-2 to Toronto FC, goes to Canadian Championship Final on aggregate goals

The Montreal Impact eliminate Toronto FC in the 2015 edition of the Voyageurs Cup on their way to a potential 2016-2017 CCL berth.

Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

The Impact lost an exciting game 3-2 against arch-rivals Toronto FC but advances on away goals (3-3 aggregate score). Goals from Kenny Cooper and Dominic Oduro were more than enough to eliminate the Reds in front of their home fans, at the newly renovated BMO field.

Dominic Oduro score off a header at the 84th minute which ended up being more than enough for the Bleu-Blanc-Noir to go through, after winning 1-0 during the first leg in Montreal. Jozy Altidore's goal at the 22nd minute was quickly forgotten when Kenny Cooper gets the equalizer a few minutes later.

Montreal will face the winner of the Vancouver Whitecaps and FC Edmonton for the final of the 2015 Amway Canadian Championship. Both legs are scheduled to be played on August 12th and 26th.
