Major League Soccer announced the season's Best XI ffor 2015, during the MLS playoff but between the Portland Timbers and FC Dallas.
MLS All-Star Laurent Ciman leads the way into the heart of the best XI defensive line as the Belgian proved his worth more than he can remember throughout a difficult year for the Montreal Impact.
Quickly establishing himself as a general, Ciman's style and European experience was important to the club's Concacaf Champions League campaign , that ended in a crushing loss to Club America in the final.
Throughout the MLS season, Ciman mostly held the team together defensively but was not always perfect himself. Prone to yellow cards and not shy to criticize MLS referees, the Belgian international had to adapt his style and mentality around the league's standards.
