Grit and be Columbus Crew go hand in hand but the Montréal Impact  was able to shutdown the  Black & Gold on its way to a 2-0 win at home. It was a solid performance from the home team and the new kid on the block, Ignacio Piatti, scores both goals showing his Copa Libertadores class in MLS.

The first 20 minutes of the game saw both teams observe each other while maintaining a high level of intensity. Patrice Bernier found Piatti on a breakaway but his powerful shot was stopped by Clark. It was a warning shot for the Crew goalkeeper who couldn't do much on Piatti's upcoming goals.

At the 40th minute, Piatti gets a pass from Felipe while the Impact was going on a quick break. The designated player dribbles on the left side , dekes 2 Crew players and shoots a powerful left shot into the far corner.

In the second half, both teams exchanged chances as Evan Bush had to make a few important saves but held on for his shutout. Piatti scored his second goal in the last minutes of the game. It was Di Vaio who created the initial chance inside the Columbus box. The ball finds Piatti who patiently sets himself up for a shot and roofs a powerboat.

For his third MLS game, Piatti seemed to have found chemistry with his new team but more importantly is settling in as the current and future header of the bleu-Blanc-noir.
