Spotted by ImpactSoccer.com , the news that Santiago Gonzalez will be joining Uruguayan club, Danubio Futbol Club, was confirmed by the club via twitter and on its website. The Montreal Impact have neither confirmed nor denied the news at the time that this article was written.

After contacting Danubio FC directly, the Uruguyan club confimed that " the player has already agreed to join Danube this semester" but was not able to confirm the details of signing and whether we are talking about a transfer or loan.
As reported by Olivier Tremblay who is attending Impact practice at Stade Saputo, Santiago Gonzalez is at practice.
