With 2 MLS games and the home leg of the Amway Canadian Championship Final, the Montreal Impact go through another difficult schedule with an injured squad.
After a long flight from San Jose, the Montreal Impact are back at it but not without an important rest on Monday May 6th. It's back to business on Tuesday with a closed practice at Complexe sportif Claude-Robillard in the morning. The Montreal Impact then fly right after practice to NYC to play the New York Red Bulls.
The clash at top between the most European MLS teams is definitevely a huge test for les Bleus de Montreal. With ex-Bleus Thierry Henry and Peguy Luyindula, the Red Bulls also have Juninho Pernambucano back from suspension. Add Tim ''Shadow Boxer'' Cahilll back in full form and the Impact have a big challenge waiting for them.
Barely back home on Thursday, the Montreal Impact gets ready to host Real Salt Lake, who just came off a 2-0 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps. With the importance of winning now and early, we cannot expect not to take RSL seriously even if it's a western conference team.
The club will take as much rest it can take and rotate the squad the most effectively while still aiming to win. It will not be easy as the Impact face the Vancouver Whitecaps on May 15th at Stade Saputo. At this point, it is way too early to speculate on which squad will face the Whitecaps.
