New, 2 comments

The Montreal Impact will have to do without Alessandro Nesta while he recovers from his injury (adductor). This means that the Serie A star will miss between 2 and 2 1/2 weeks as firstly announced Pascal Milano of La Presse.

Stay tuned for more news and updates on Alessandro Nesta`s injury and reaction from the club.

The Montreal Impact confirmed the news at practice today to the present media at Complexe Marie-Victorin.

Mauro Biello, Assistant Coach

We are going to take out time with him because you can't be too careful with this type of injury. We have a number of options, including using Hassoun Camara as a centre back, but we will see how training goes and make a decision later this week.

After playing a full 90 minutes in both games against Seattle and Portland, it is a shame to see Nesta get injured so early in the season. It will definitively be an early test to the Impact's depth at the back, something that could be handled short term.
