Wandrille Lefevre and Maxime Tissot signed to MLS contracts: Impact with 3 HomeGrown Players

It's Home Grown Players Galore as the Montreal Impact sign midfielder Wandrille Lefevre and defender Maxime Tissot to MLS contracts.

The Montreal Impact have just announced the signing of 2 more HomeGrown players in Wandrille Lefevre and Maxime Tissot. The ''Academiciens'' join their U21 teammate Karl W Ouimette with the Big Team.

We are very pleased to have signed both of these young players from our system; both of whom are athletes with a strong attachment to the jersey -Sporting Director, Nick De Santis

Both players have shown their commitment to the club throughout their time at the Montreal Impact Academy. Maxime Tissot has impressed in pre-season in Montreal and in Florida. With the signing of the Blake Smith, the Montreal Impact might have the left side of the field covered with young talented players.

Wandrille Lefevre was an older ''Academicien'' as he was still playing with the U21 Academy team as an over-aged player. But his commitment to the club has paid off for the midfielder who played precious minutes in the post-season tour in Italy, notably against Fiorentina. He was also with the club in Orlando where he played minutes as a defender: an indication that his chance to play in MLS might be in a back four.

One of the main objectives of the club was to fully integrate the Academy from the bottom up. This is no coincidence when we saw the promotion of Academy Director, Philippe Eulaffroy, to an assistant coaching position next to Marco Schällibaum. The club's is investing time, effort and money and having Eulaffroy and goalkeeping coach Youssef Daha in the mix, will only keep that link stronger.
