Orlando City's Dennis Chin scored early in the game by beating Brad Stuver with a low shot in the 3rd minute of the game. In the 41st minute, Ian Fuller scored the Floridian team doubled the lead via Chinn, who beat Stuver with a header.
The Montreal Impact made the task to get back into the game more difficult when Collen Warner was sent off with a straight red card. At the 42nd minute, Warner
Midfielder Calum Mallace cut into the lead in the 72nd minute when he hammered a shot from 18 yards out, beating the goalkeeper to his right, following a back pass by Fernando Monge.
The Impact was forced to play with 10 men from the 42nd minute, when midfielder Collen Warner, was shown a straight red for a dangerous foul. Calum Mallace scored the only Impact goal , at the 72nd minute, with a shot from a Fernando Monge pass.
Unfortunatyely, the game was not broadcasted live
Notes:
(*) This is not Collen Warner's first red card in preseason with Montreal. He was red carded against the houston Dynamo , back in 2012, in the same tournament. This might be a omen for another good season for the Colorado native, who also had a good season in 2012 after a red card in preseason.
--> Schällibaum's punishment or test?
Précision sur le match d'hier #IMFC : M.Schällibaum a préféré jouer à 10 après la 42e plutôt que de remplacer C.Warner comme il est permis

In preseason games, teams are allowed to bring another player to keep the team with 11 players. In this case, Marco Schällibaum decided to keep his club at 10. Was that a way to punish Collen Warner by punishing the rest of the team? Did the new head coach wanted to test his team in a 1-man down situation?
Thank you to Frederic Lord , of TVA Sports , for the clarifications.
(*) Wandrille Lefevre is most likely (if not certainly) being looked at and tagged as a central defender by the Montreal Impact. After the game against the Philadelphia Union, he also played as a defender, something he has also done as a college player with Les Carabins de l'Universite de Montreal.
Quotes
Montreal Impact Head Coach, Marco Schällibaum
We took a bad red card that came from a mistake, but it wasn't the result that counted.After that, we fought for more than 60 minutes against a good side. I saw a lot of character in the second half and a team willing to battle."
