Cascadia will be home for the Montreal Impact for its first 2 games of the 2013 season. The Montreal Impact will spend at least 1 week in the Land of Cascadia to open the season. We already knew that the Impact's season opener would see them play the Seattle Sounders on March 2nd. A week later, Montreal goes into another hostile field to face the revamped Portland Timbers at JELD-WEN Field.
Only 1 game of Montreal's games in MLS is scheduled for national television in the USA. The Impact will host the Chicago Fire at Stade Saputo on April 27th 2013 and it will be broadcasted on NBCSN.
According to the schedule, only two games are being played at the Olympic Stadium , which is a bit of a surprise. When you think about the weather in Montreal in the month of April, the grass of Stade Saputo might suffer but that`s for another grass-related debate.
The 2nd year MLS club will be travelling quite a bit in the first 3 months of the season and there will be Air Miles accumulation. The Impact will be visiting the Pacific Time Zone in March (Seattle and Portland), April (Los Angeles) and May (San Jose).
The longest home stand for the Impact is is of 2 games at the most making road wins even more important to make the playoffs. On the flip side, Impact fans will not go through long stretches without seeing their team playing at Stade Saputo: no more than 2 consecutive away games.
Will the month of March 2013 already be the ``Make It Or Break It`` month the Impact`s season?
