Six Impact Players eligible for the 2012 MLS All-Star Game: Fan Selection

The 2012 AT&T MLS All-Star game online voting has opened today at noon EST. It's the chance for the fans to pick their 11 players that will face 2012 Champions League winners, Chelsea FC. This does not mean that the 11 players selected by the fans will compose the starting XI on July 25th in Philadelphia. Voting for the All Stars will be done a mix of online, text and twitter voting with the hopes of fans seeing their favorite (eligible) players go face European Giants and proudly represent their club.

As per MLSsoccer.com

Until Monday July 2nd, fans will be able to vote online at MLSsoccer.com and also by texting a player's last name only to 22442. Voting will also be enabled via Twitter on June 21-22 with details to follow.

114 players , six per club, have been nominated for the fans by a panel of media members and every list includes a keeper, a defender, a midfielder and a forward. For your Montreal Impact, you have Donovan Ricketts, Matteo Ferrari, Nelson Rivas, Bernardo Corradi, Felipe Martins and Davy Arnaud. Looking at the list of Impact players and there aren't any surprises or at least no flagrant player missing. I also assume that you actually care which Impact players makes it to the MLS All Star Game.

The most likely to be selected by Peter Nowak (Philadelphia Union head coach) in the gameday roster , or at least I hope, will be Felipe Martins who didnt take time to share his happiness on being on the ballot. Peter Nowak's squad list will be unveiled on Sunday, July 15, at halftime of the New York Red Bulls vs. Seattle Sounders match.

Go to your virtual voting stations and good luck to all Montreal Impact players.
